artist bio

I've been exploring, photographing and camping in the hills since the mid-seventies, and finally moved to Baraboo 5 years ago.

I have an undergraduate art degree from the UW-Madison and my MFA from Northern Illinois University.

I was a staff artist at Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History for three years before moving to Madison in 1992 to begin a full-time career as a watercolor painter and environmental cartoonist.

Over the past twenty years I've had hundreds of cartoons appear in local and national publications in addition, I've sold close to 400 paintings and have won numerous awards at many Midwest art exhibitions.
